Handover and follow-up service

Once the transfer of ownership has been completed at the Land Registry, the property is handed over to its new owner. Even at this stage, I do not leave you to deal with everything on your own. I organise and prepare the entire handover process.

I bring a prepared handover protocol, in which we record the current readings of all meters, such as electricity, gas and water, the number of keys being handed over and any other important information relating to the property. The available documentation, remote controls, access chips and any other items belonging to the property are handed over at the same time.

I then also arrange the transfer of utilities to the new owner and, where necessary, help with other administrative steps connected with the change of ownership in relation to the building manager, owners' association or other service providers.

My goal is for the entire sale, from our first meeting through to the final handover of the property, to run as smoothly as possible and for you not to have to deal with unnecessary administration on your own.

For me, the handover itself is the finishing touch to the entire transaction. After several weeks or months of working and communicating together, the relationship is usually no longer purely professional. A genuine level of mutual trust has developed throughout the process.

I have stayed in touch with many clients long after their transaction was completed. Some have gradually become friends, for others I continue to help manage or sell additional properties, and a large proportion of my new clients come to me through recommendations from their family, friends or acquaintances.

For me, that is one of the strongest signs of a job well done. I do not want our cooperation to end when the keys are handed over. I want you to finish the process knowing that if you ever need to deal with another property in the future, you will not need to look for another estate agent.
